But it is the responsibility of the person who moved first to make a clean move. It doesn't help both parties feel better, but it does enable the healing process to begin.
As the relationship ends, it's akin to someone dying. It hurts and will hurt just as bad. There's so many good things shared in the relationship to say goodbye to. Mourning and grieving is natural; let it run its course.
When a relationship ends, a new one begins. It evolves from the old into something new which both will need to work on. Amidst the hurt, the temptation to have everything structured and clear-cut will be the strongest as the uncertainty and vagueness of the situation adds much confusion to the already wounded heart. Don't make decisions just to "get it over and done it".
One does not need to decide everything NOW. Take a breather, sleep on it and then discover it as one lives it.
In any case, who says you need to make a decision at all?
As we go along, our hearts will know what it wants.
Things will be different, it will not be the same again ever. Indefinitely.
But that doesn't necessarily make it a bad thing either.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Needed to put all these down somewhere, before I lose it- actually lose it.
They are heavy...so heavy. The heart wants to grieve but the mind does not rest.
I hate airports...even if they are indeed necessary...
Bon Voyage (have a good journey), love.
Take care my dearest.

P.s: thank you for sharing your wisdom, Pet.
